Call for Papers

Interested persons are invited to submit papers for the Youth Advocacy Conference in May 2008. Persons are expected to submit an abstract which should tell what their paper will be about.

Topics
Authors should choose anyone one of the focus areas to write their papers. These topics will seek to highlight the state of youth advocacy in various areas as well as the issues that are being addressed/ need to be addressed in these advocacy efforts.
  • Youth advocacy in the church
  • Youth using the media for advocacy
  • Youth representation and advocacy on government boards and bodies
  • The state of youth leadership in the region
  • Youth advocacy through innovative ideas
  • Youth advocacy through creative arts and expressions
  • Youth advocacy through science and technology
  • The state of vulnerable groups in advocacy
  • Youth advocacy in CARICOM
  • Youth advocacy in the inner city
  • Youth advocacy then and now

    Submission Guidelines (PAPERS)
    It is recommended that PAPERS be structured as follows:
  • Papers should be no longer than 400 words
  • Papers will be reviewed by the selection committee based on content, presentation and suitability for the event
  • Papers must reflect adequate evidence of research and should be accompanied by a reference list
  • By submitting an abstract you give permission to publish it on the conference web site, and probably in a printed conference booklet
